Glacier Walks and Heli Hikes

Explore Fox Glacier on foot with a knowledgeable guide and your appreciation of these dynamic frozen rivers will increase dramatically. Various options take you on to the glacier. A half-day walk from the base is popular, but a heli-hike is the best way to access and explore a remote part of the glacier, shunted between two ice falls, where you’ll find spectacular ice caves and arches. Some fitness and agility is required.
